HOW A SHOW GETS COUNTED

  1. Every episode is a data point. Each one is logged as it comes out, and the facts in it — what happened, what was said, what it cost — are read off the recording.
  2. Every figure says what it is out of. An average is taken over the episodes that answered, and the page says how many that was. An episode that said nothing is not a zero.
  3. Nothing is guessed. What we could not read is published as a gap, beside what we could.
  4. The show can say stop. The person being counted can switch their show off at any time, and every page about it goes dark at once.
